The Grange is an all male service in a low secure environment which focuses on the assessment and treatment of adults diagnosed with complex psychiatric illnesses which may include illicit drug and alcohol dependencies that are difficult to treat in an open environment.
Most of our patients are admitted while sectioned under the Mental Health Act; this may include patients for assessment and treatment under the jurisdiction of the Home Office.
The facilities include 15 bedrooms with en-suite bathroom facilities, two patient lounges, a dining room, clinical facilities and a secure garden.
The patients who have Section 17 leave have access to all the activities and facilities on the Cawston Park site.
All the patients at Cawston Park are encouraged to be involved in their care and treatment. On admission the patient is allocated a Consultant Psychiatrist and Named Nurse who are part of the Multi-Disciplinary Team the patient has access to throughout their stay.
