The Manor

The Manor is an open environment which focuses on recovery programs for adults, both male and female, diagnosed with complex psychiatric illnesses which may include illicit drug and alcohol dependencies. This unit provides patients with the opportunity to continue their care and treatment with the same multi-disciplinary team, as they had on the Lodge or Grange, in the least restrictive environment.

Most of our patients are transferred to the Manor from either the Lodge or the Grange as the patient progresses towards discharge.

The Manor is a Grade II listed manor house overlooking the woods and heathland. The Manor has 24 spacious bedrooms with en-suite bathroom facilities, a large patient’s lounge, library, pool room, dining room, plus clinical and therapy facilities. Patients have access to all the activities and facilities on the Cawston Park site.

All the patients at Cawston Park are encouraged to be involved in their care and treatment. On admission the patient is allocated a Consultant Psychiatrist and Named Nurse who are part of the Multi-Disciplinary Team the patient has access to throughout their stay.
